Position Overview:
Under direction of the Company Services Supervisor, performs a broad range of custodian duties and manual work in the care and cleaning of the company headquarters building, medical clinic and/or other assigned facilities. Duties include dusting and polishing furniture, emptying trash, sweeping, cleaning surfaces and inspecting cleanliness of buildings.
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs cleaning duties adhering to approved department procedures and standards.
- Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition.
- Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
- Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors, using cleaners, sponges and squeegees.
- Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
- Loads/unloads dishwashers; cleans countertop, coffee equipment, caterings and conference rooms.
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Maintains custodial equipment and supplies; performs preventative maintenance and maintains cleaning chemicals and consumable inventory.
- May train others and performs related work as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
- Experience using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions preferred.
- Ability to read and write the English language.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motion for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
